     I believe yoga is p​erfect for every body, age, size, and ability. It's not a competitive sport nor is it an athletic competition. Yoga means connection - mind, body, and spirit. And that's what happens when you step onto your mat. You begin to connect with yourself, ALL of yourself, in a deep and profound way.

     My yoga classes and workshops are relaxing and are designed to introduce you to the soothing and vibrant world of yoga. I guide my students into various poses using bolsters, blankets, foam blocks and straps for support.

     I also use modifications and variations for poses, designed to work with YOUR body. Sometimes we do a little chanting, meditation, and use positive affirmations. I teach group and private classes. I am also a YOGA for ALL trained teacher.

     I firmly  believe the Yoga Sutra that states "No effort is ever wasted.”

     I am YIN yoga certified and am a body positivity and trauma-informed yoga teacher. I specialize in YIN, Gentle, Restorative and Chair Yoga.   

     I'm registered with YOGA ALLIANCE, have over 1000 teaching hours, and am insured. My yoga certificates, resume' and letters of recommendation are available.

     My 2-hour yoga workshops include: YIN yoga, Goddess Yoga, Chakra Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Beginning Yoga. Each have an option to include a 30-minute Yoga Nidra practice at the end of the workshop.

     All my yoga classes and workshops are suitable for those new to yoga as well as all levels of yoga experience. I use modifications and variations to help you settle into the poses.

     I often use soft drums, gentle chimes and crystal chakra singing bowls. Soothing peaceful music and positive affirmations provide a lovely atmosphere.

GENTLE YOGA is made up of slow smooth standing and seated movements. We allow ourselves to feel sensations in our bodies, mind and hearts.


RESTORATIVE YOGA uses props such as blankets, bolsters and soft blocks to settle into floor poses that fully support our bodies.


YIN YOGA is designed to slowly stretch the fascia inside our bodies. The poses allow us to go inside ourselves and find stillness.


CHAIR YOGA uses a chair to sit and sometimes stand, using it for support, as we move through a variety of poses, slowly and mindfully or with a little more energy, based on what we need.

Gentle/Restorative Yoga Workshop

     Give your body, mind and soul the gift of Gentle/Restorative Yoga. Join me for a two-hour workshop to gently assist your body to unwind and relax, your mind to calm and be still, and your soul to refresh and rejuvenate.


     In this workshop, poses held for a few minutes, that fully support your body using bolsters and blankets. This creates deep peace and relaxation as it eases the effects of stress and anxiety. No yoga experience is necessary to attend.

Goddess Yoga Workshop

     Experience the Goddess in her many forms and from many cultures. From the Earth Goddesses (root chakra), the Creative Goddesses (sacral chakra), the Powerful Goddesses (solar plexus chakra) and the Goddesses of Love (heart chakra), we’ll explore their myths, folklore and connections to the chakras, through our yoga practice of gentle, restorative and yin poses.


     Discussion will include our common threads with the Goddess.

     This workshop is suitable for newcomers and all level of yoga students.

Chakra Yoga Workshop

     The Seven Chakras are energy centers located inside our bodies, along the spine,from the tialbone up to the crown of the head.Each chakra has corresponding colors, sounds, gems, elements, seasons, affirmations, mantras, symbols, emotions, senses, mudras, foods, themes, essential oils, and more. We’ll explore each Chakra with lively discussions, gentle yoga poses, and insightful journaling.

Beginning Yoga

     This Beginning Yoga workshop is for those new to yoga. It consists of standing, seated and supine poses which will be taught with modifications, variations and props to make yoga accessible for all body types and abilities. We'll learn appropriate alighnment in poses also.


     We'll also explore the benefits, history and philosophy of yoga, as well as the mind-body-soul connection that yoga offers.

YIN Yoga Workshop

     YIN yoga is a calming balance to our active stressful lives. Floor asanas (poses) are held for a few minutes, gently stretching connective tissues and fascia.


     This also stimulates energy flow in the meridians of the body, creating deep peace and soothing relaxation, as it eases the effects of stress and anxiety.

    

No yoga experience necessary.
