Penrose Community Library has chosen

"Down Memory Lane" for its free local history 

book for patrons to read this spring. I was given

the opportunity to edit this sweet memoir of a 

woman who grew up on Beaver Creek, east of Penrose in the early 1900s. Della's family

gave me permission to edit and publish it in 2007.

I will be there to sign the book and sell/sign all my Penrose history books.

  Day. I'll have all my Penrose

   History books for sale and

   I'll be happy to sign them.

            10 am - 2 pm

     In September 2024, I donated

two adorable ​statues of a little

girl and a little boy, reading books on their bellies, to Penrose Community Library in Penrose Colorado. 

     Almost 40 years ago I joined

with other local citizens  and we

created this marvelous library.

Here's what I had engraved on

the plaques:

Dedicated to all children who love to read, including my own children:Wendy, Rob, Rebecca, Carole, Holly, Joseph, James Dan and Emma, who believed 

the library was a magical place.
